Behind the shot
For me, there is something therapeutic to being alone in nature. I love traveling with my wife to see new places, but I also love to go out on my own at times to reflect without distractions. I find it amazing how hard it is to withdraw from technology today. I have put more effort into not always being attached to my phone but it is difficult. Smartphones today create so many conveniences that make it hard to set down. On our most recent trip I asked Brandi what it would be like to use a paper map for what we do given our reliance on GPS navigation.
